Call interactions: Raise hands, Reactions, Timer, Lock and Move

Raise hand

Signal that you'd like to speak without interrupting:

1. Click on the hand icon in the toolbar
2. Alternatively, press the shortcut key H

In Cosmos, raised hands appear in sequential order with numbers displaying over each hand, making it easy to identify who raised their hand first.

Reactions

Express appreciation and feedback during calls with animated reactions:

1. Click on the reaction icon in the toolbar or use the numbers on keyboard from 1 to 9
2. Select from options like clap, cheer, thumbs up, heart, and more

When multiple people react simultaneously, large emotes fly across the screen, creating a shared experience of feedback and appreciation.

Set a timer

Keep your meetings on track with a shared timer:

1. Click on Setup timer in the bottom toolbar
2. Set the desired time duration
3. Press Start

When the timer runs out, everyone in the call will hear an alert sound, helping maintain meeting schedules.

Lock room

Create privacy for sensitive discussions:

1. Go to the bottom toolbar
2. Hover on the room name
3. Click Lock room

Once locked, new participants cannot join automatically. They can knock to request entry, and current participants can choose to let them in or not.

To unlock the room:

1. Click on the Unlock room button
2. Any knocking users will join immediately once the room is unlocked

Move conversation

Transfer your discussion to a different location:

1. Click on Move conversation in the bottom toolbar
2. Alternatively, use the shortcut key J
3. Select your destination room
4. Choose which participants to bring with you. By default everyone will be selected
