Pop-out mode: Focus on your work while staying connected
Pop-out mode lets you minimise the Cosmos application while staying connected to your team. It's available in both the browser (Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers) and the desktop app — useful when you want to keep working in other apps without losing track of who's in the space.
Key features of Popout mode
- Resizable, properly organised video: Videos sit in a clean vertical stack, sized to fit your screen
- Every control where you are: Mic, camera, raised hand, home desk, and status all live inside the pop-out — no tab-switching mid-conversation
- Auto-starts on screenshare: Present and keep your team in view automatically. On dual monitors, hover the screenshare button to disable, or pop it back in from the top-right
- Page navigation: Toggle between pages of videos when more than 4 people are in the call
- Audio notifications: Hear a distinct
dingsound when someone approaches you - Pop-out expands automatically: When someone wants to talk to you — their video appears with mic controls and status options
Switching between shared screens
When multiple people are sharing screens, switch between them with a single click directly from the pop-out. No need to open the main Cosmos window.
