Blocked on company firewall
Why is Cosmos blocked on my network?
Companies protect themselves against attacks by using Firewalls to shield computers on their network. This means only certain types of traffic is allowed on your network.
You might experience that cosmos.video can’t be accessed by you or guests you’ve invited to your office.
If cosmos.video is blocked by your firewall, and you want to use us, please share this guide with your IT department.
Option 1
The best option is to not have any VPN or firewalls that block the usage of Cosmos.video. But, for good reasons, this might not be possible.
Option 2
If you're on corporate WiFi, you might be inside the corporate VPN and firewall. It would be good to add the list of domains below to the "allow list":
Domains
*.cosmos.video
*.twilio.com
*.xirsys.com
*.livekit.cloud
The first one is for our core infrastructure. Twilio and Xirsys are TURN relay providers that we use to route audio and video to users behind firewalls. Livekit.cloud is our media provider.
Option 3
Firewalls can also be configured to allow UDP hole punching to the following ports: 10000 - 65400 for audio and video. Usually, we don't need this, and option number 2 should work well.
