Mac - audio / video troubleshooting

Cosmos needs two permissions to start using your mic and camera:

Mac OS Permissions:

1. Go to System Settings on your Mac

2. Navigate to Privacy & Security

3. Select Microphone settings and allow both your browser and Cosmos to access the mic

4. Select Camera settings and allow both your browser and Cosmos to access the camera 

5. Quit and reopen your browser for changes to take effect

Browser Permissions:

Chrome:

  • Look for the settings icon in the address bar
  • Click it and allow Cosmos access to your camera and microphone

Firefox:

  • Look for the mic and camera icons in the address bar
  • Click on them and allow Cosmos access to your camera and microphone


Safari:

  • Safari is not supported
  • Please use Chrome, Firefox or download our Mac app (linked here)
