Guest experience and limits

Who are Guests

Guests are users who are not members of your space but can join meetings and discussions.

We want you to be able to collaborate with external people seamlessly. We also want the guests to be able to come visit you just as they would visit a space in real life.

All guests in a space have the “guest” badge next to their name in the list of users.

Joining as a Guest

Guests can join a Cosmos space without the need to sign up. They can access the space via any desktop browser. For mobile access, guests are encouraged to download our mobile app for the best experience, especially on iOS devices, due to webRTC support limitations.

Guest limits

We limit the number of active guests within a space. For example, if you have 10 external guests at one time, your space is utilising 10 guest slots. If the earlier group leaves and a new group of 15 joins, the count adjusts to 15 active guests.

Guest access limitations:

Guests can:

  • Join a Cosmos space or meeting; they’ll need to be let into a space by other members.
  • Participate in conversation chats or meeting chats.
  • Send direct messages to other guests or members within the space.
